The Sun Doesn't Sleep: Why You Need SPF Indoors

There is a dangerous myth in Pakistan that sunscreen is a "Summer Only" product. We treat it like a beach accessory—something you only wear when you plan to be in direct sunlight for hours.

This mindset is the #1 cause of premature aging, stubborn dark spots, and worsening acne scars.

The truth is simple: If there is daylight, there is damage. It doesn't matter if it's December, if it's raining, or if you are sitting inside your office. The sun is still working against your skin.

The Science: UVA vs. UVB

To understand why you need protection 365 days a year, you need to distinguish between the two types of UV radiation:

1. UVB Rays (The Burning Rays)

These rays cause sunburns. They are strongest in summer and are blocked by clouds and glass. When you don't get burned in winter, it's because UVB is weak.

2. UVA Rays (The Aging Rays)

These are the silent killers. UVA rays account for 95% of the UV radiation reaching the earth. They are present with equal strength from sunrise to sunset, regardless of the weather.

Crucially, UVA rays penetrate through clouds and glass windows.

This means if you are driving your car, sitting by a window at work, or just walking to the mailbox on a cloudy day, your collagen is breaking down. UVA rays penetrate deep into the dermis, causing wrinkles, sagging, and hyperpigmentation.

The "White Cast" Problem

We know why you hate wearing sunscreen. For years, sunblocks available in Pakistan were thick, greasy, and left a purple or white ghost-like cast on Desi skin tones. They ruined your makeup and clogged your pores.

The Solution: Sunguard

We formulated Sunguard to end the excuses. It is a "Hybrid" sunscreen designed for daily wear.

  • Invisible Finish: It blends seamlessly into the skin, leaving zero white cast.
  • Non-Greasy: It dries down to a natural, matte finish that acts as a great primer for makeup.
  • Broad Spectrum Protection: It shields you from both the burning UVB rays and the aging UVA rays.

The "Two Finger" Rule

Most people don't apply enough. To get the SPF protection listed on the bottle, you need to apply two finger-lengths of product to your face and neck.

Make this the non-negotiable final step of your morning routine. The best anti-aging product money can buy isn't a fancy serum—it’s sunscreen.
